My background in the auto repair industry began early on when I was growing up in the Chicago suburb of Park Ridge, I would take apart the lawnmower and put it back together at a rather young age.
During my High School years I became more deeply involved with cars-and have owned a few over the years. After High School I worked at a JC Penny garage for several years working my way up through the ranks to the shop manager position before leaving to begin teaching at Lincoln Technical Institute-an automotive votech school in Norridge, IL
In 1980 I got an opportunity to move to the Roaring Fork Valley to work at Timberline Auto at the Airport Business center. Unfortunately they were forced to close because of overhead. I then set out on my own using my Jeep for a service vehicle and plow truck. As time passed I traded up to the van I still use today. Because I don't have to pay rent for shop space I have been able to keep my doors open.
I have been living in the Old Snowmass area for over 30 years now and call that more or less the center of my universe, and travel out from there, spending most days in Aspen.
The Area I call HOME is the Aspen area. Aspen, Woody Creek and Snowmass Village and connecting valleys, are the most commonly traveled. I will travel down the Roaring Fork Valley as well as other valley locales. On occasion I have been called to extract vehicles in the local back country.
